Doug Peterman, owner of Peterman Plumbing & Heating, Inc., grew up working in the plumbing business operated by his father, Paul Peterman.   In July 1974, Doug assumed ownership of Peterman Plumbing & Heating, Inc.  He continued plumbing new houses and doing service work.  Within several years he was successfully bidding on commercial projects such as Premiere Lincoln Mercury, now Humphries; Wendy's on the Boulevard; Midtown Cleaners; K-Mart and the Ohio National Guard Armory.  The commercial division of the company has grown to include such jobs as  Claymont School Renovations, Buckeye Trail K-8 & High School projects, and New Philadelphia & Strasburg Waste Water Treatment Plants. In 1985 the Lennox franchise was purchased from Bair Heating, a Lennox dealership.  The heating & air conditioning commercial division continues to grow with installations at Dennison Depot, Ridgewood Administration Building, and Tuscarawas-Carrolton-Harrison Education Center.  Current HVAC projects include Newcomerstown United Methodist Church Music Room and Edward Jones Investments Renovations. In 2002, Peterman Plumbing & Heating, Inc., purchased the building at our present location.  After an addition to the warehouse and extensive renovations to the office, we moved in June 2002.  This location has allowed us to better develop the plumbing, heating & air conditioning residential & commercial divisions. Current plumbing projects include:  Rolite, Sheetz, East Guernsey Local Schools in Old Washington, Resource Systems Corp. Offices in New Concord, Carroll County Group Home, Newcomerstown United Methodist Church Music Room and Mako/Harv's Barbershop in Uhrichsville. With completion of our current plumbing & hvac commercial projects, since 1977 Peterman Plumbing & Heating, Inc. will have completed more than 700 projects. Our residential and commercial installations has continued to grow through the years to include a current customer base of more than  7000. In our 30 years of business, what started out as a one man operation has grown into 27 full-time and 2 part-time employees.   Our goal remains as it has always been, to continue to give quality service at a fair price.    Thank you to our loyal customers and friends for their support.
