Solar Energy
Nowadays, almost everyone is concerned with where the economy is going and how far we can stretch our income. With rising gas prices, we all worry about other rising costs such as our needs for home (energy) heating and electricity. Most of us are trying to find ways to save money, reduce spending and conserve energy and some of us even recycle.
We at Peterman Plumbing and Heating are concerned with the same. While we have always recycled our metals, water heaters and heating/cooling equipment we are now recycling cardboard, paper, plastic, glass & aluminum as well. In addition to our recycling program we will be your area dealer for solar powered water heaters in the near future. We want to do our part to leave our community clean and healthy for the next generation.
A NEW ERA IN SOLAR HOT WATER
Why Solar?
Save $$ on energy costs
An Apricus solar collector can reduce the amount of electricity or gas used for
water heating by around 60% per annum, therefore considerably reducing
your monthly energy bills.

Photovoltaic cells convert sunlight directly into electricity and are made of semiconductors such as crystalline silicon or various thin-film materials. Photovoltaics can provide tiny amounts of power for watches, large amounts for the electric grid, and everything in between.
Concentrating solar power technologies use reflective materials to concentrate the sun's heat energy, which ultimately drives a generator to produce electricity. These technologies include dish/engine systems, parabolic troughs, and central power towers.
Low-temperature solar collectors also absorb the sun's heat energy, but the heat is used directly for hot water or space heating for residential, commercial, and industrial facilities.
